General:

Due to steady light rain falling between kennelling and race 1, stewards inspected the track with senior club officials. Race times for the meeting were pushed back one race to give the track time to recover from some remedial work. A further track inspection was conducted by stewards and a delegation of trainers, and it was then assessed as safe for racing.

Race times were amended as followed:

Race 1 - TAB - LONG MAY WE PLAY MAIDEN 331m

Prior to the running of the first race the track was downgraded to slow.

1 Sarina Lee – Checked after the start.

2 Spell Check – Severely checked after the start and lost ground.

3 Cosmic Warrior – Improved onto heels approaching the first turn. Checked across heels rounding the home turn.

8 What A Nose – Slow to begin.

Race 2 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOV/M 520m

2 Master Pele – Checked off heels entering the first turn.

3 Adulate – Bumped in the front straight on the first occasion.

4 My Name's Earl – Bumped in the front straight on the first occasion. Checked entering the first turn. Made contact with the running rail entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

8 Blazing Smoke – Slow to begin.

1 Brockie Magic – Checked entering the back straight. Checked off heels rounding the home turn.

2 Building Success – Checked off heels rounding the first turn.

3 Cold Deck – Checked entering the back straight.

4 Street Smart – Slow to begin.

8 Remembering – Slow to begin.

Race 5 - SENNACHIE @ STUD - STEVE WHITE GRADE 5 (2) 395m

2 Here's Bruce – Checked entering the back straight.

3 Smart Lilly – Checked through the first turn.

4 Rosdue Rockette – Checked through the first turn.

Race 6 - ORSON ALLEN @ METICULOUS LODGE QUEENSLAND BRED HEAT 1 GRADE 5 520m

2 Viva Belle – Dragged down from behind entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

4 Tiki Bar – Improved onto heels entering the home turn.

5 Ringbark Rage – Tightened between runners shortly after the start.

8 Springtime Rose – Slow to begin.

7 Stardust Dreams – Slow to begin. Checked off heels rounding the home turn.

Race 10 - TIGGERLONG TONK @ STUD GRADE 5 331m

4 Please Find Work – Checked off heels entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the offside wrist and subsequently will be stood down from racing for 10 days.

5 Stay All Day – Checked entering the home turn.

6 Fancy Ava – Checked entering the home turn

7 Call Me Quits – Slow to begin.
