General: Trainer Sharyn Jackson was issued a charge pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 180(2)(b) for permitting an unlicensed person to handle a greyhound under her control as trainer at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club on 16 May 2022. Ms Jackson entered a plea of guilty with Stewards subsequently imposing a $200.00 fine with Stewards electing to wholly suspend $100.00 of the fine pursuant Greyhounds Australasia Rule 174(3) for a period of twelve (12) months conditional upon no further breach of a similar nature. Stewards considered Ms Jackson’s early plea of guilty, her clear disciplinary history, her time in the industry and her personal circumstances when determining penalty.

RACE 1 - TAB - LONG MAY WE PLAY NOVICE 520M

1 Bay Rhodes – Inconvenienced rounding the first turn. Collided with another runner and was checked rounding the turn into the back straight.

4 Canya Bellatrix – inconvenienced rounding the first turn. Checked entering the turn into the back straight.

5 Longest Ride – Tightened for racing room and was severely checked rounding the first turn.  Tightened for racing room over the concluding stages of the race.

6 Buckeye Bullet – Tightened for racing room. Severely checked and fell rounding the first turn. Trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

7 Samson's Delilah – Inconvenienced rounding the first turn.

8 My Name's Earl – Dragged down and almost fell rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 2 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND BEST 8 395M

1 Magical Hope – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the turn into the home straight.

4 Orchestrate – Stumbled and was checked rounding the first turn.

6 Drink Long Necks – Checked off heels rounding the first turn.

RACE 3 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MIXED 4/5 395M

3 Cold Deck – Galloped on rounding the turn into the home straight.

7 Litigate – Bumped with another runner and checked rounding the first turn. Galloped on rounding the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

8 Here's Bruce – Bumped with another runner and checked rounding the first turn. Severely checked rounding the turn into the home straight.

RACE 4 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY NMW (1) 520M

1 Springtime Red – Checked across heels rounding the turn into the home straight. Tightened for racing room and was checked in the early stages of the home straight.

5 Slippery Worm – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn.

RACE 5 - SENNACHIE @ STUD - STEVE WHITE R5 (1) 600M

3 Swift Sharni – Galloped on and almost fell rounding the first turn. Bumped another runner and was checked rounding the turn into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

4 Me And You – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn.

5 Roxy Quaker – Checked rounding the first turn. Bumped another runner and was checked rounding the turn into the back straight.

8 Austrian Beauty – Inconvenienced rounding the first turn.

9 Roxy Tequila (1) – Checked rounding the first turn.

RACE 6 - ORSON ALLEN @ METICULOUS LODGE R5 (2) 600M

3 Glittering Zac – Raced wide in the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side hip and was stood down from racing for ten (10) days.

4 Barcia Bullet – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn. Bumped another runner in the early stages of the home straight.

6 She's In Clover – Checked across heels and was forced wide rounding the first turn. Bumped another runner in the early stages of the home straight.

8 Jimary Star – Inconvenienced and was checked rounding the first turn.

RACE 7 - SKY RACING MIXED 4/5 520M

2 Cincinnati Bill – Began awkwardly and was subsequently slow to begin. Held up for clear running and was checked rounding the first turn.

4 One Size Up – Faltered in its stride and appeared to be injured in the early stages of the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side hock and was stood down from racing for ninety (90) days. The greyhound must complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing next. Trainer D Moore advised Stewards that he will take the greyhound to the North Lakes Veterinary Hospital for further assessment and treatment. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Racing Injury Review Panel.

8 Rochill Lady – Inconvenienced and forced wider rounding the first turn.

9 Diamond For Evie (6) – Checked and was forced wider rounding the first turn.

RACE 8 - QUEENSLAND BRED FINAL GRADE 5 520M

7 Maddison – Checked rounding the first turn.

RACE 9 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE NMW (2) 520M

1 Glittering Ace – Checked off heels rounding the turn into the home straight.

2 Annali – Collided with another runner rounding the first turn.

6 Starlight Belle – Slow to begin.

10 Stay Warm Bear (5) – Collided with another runner and was forced wider rounding the first turn.

RACE 10 - BRYDON REAR/PRETRAIN 0413530205 MA5 520M

1 Bohemian Chariot – Checked off heels and was inconvenienced rounding the first turn.

3 Viva Belle – Tightened for racing room and was galloped on rounding the first turn.

6 Hurricane Ashy – Tightened for racing room and was forced wider rounding the turn into the home straight.

8 Ferrari Cloud – Inconvenienced rounding the first turn.

RACE 11 - TIGGERLONG TONK @ STUD MA5 395M

2 Full Moon Party – Galloped on in the back straight and lost considerable ground.

5 Hammer Drill – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.

8 Golden Crest – Raced wide in the home straight.

RACE 12 - WALLOON SALOON HOTEL MIXED 4/5 331M

2 Life's A Vision – Inconvenienced and forced wider rounding the turn into the home straight. Raced wide in the home straight.

3 Big Jim Buzz – Checked across heels rounding the first turn.

7 Slap Fizz – Bumped another runner and was forced wider rounding the turn into the home straight.

8 Wolf Steele – Became momentarily unbalanced rounding the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

9 He's The Outlaw (4) – Shifted out and bumped another runner rounding the turn into the home straight.

10 Sweet Roll (1) – Checked shortly after the start.
