Race 2 - TAB - LONG MAY WE PLAY MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 331m

1 Knick Knack Mac – Checked in the back straight.

4 Tuscany Bill – Went up with the lids. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainers representative Josh Priest regarding the greyhound’s racing actions in the home straight. Stewards viewed the video replay and considered submissions from Mr Priest and the veterinary report. Stewards deemed that greyhound had turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure, therefore Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to Pursue 1st offence - 28 day stand down at Albion Park and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

1 Polly's Riff – Became unbalanced rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side pin strain the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

5 Invincible Gal – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed split webbing to the offside hind foot, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

7 Poker Alice – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Peter Cauchi in regard to the greyhounds action approaching the winning post where it took an awkward stride and shifted in. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.
