General: Stewards conducted an inquiry in respect of an incident that occurred near the catching pen prior to the running of Race 3 at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club on 28 July 2022. Evidence was heard from licensed participants Ms Nicole Connell, Mr Barry Taylor, Mr Bailey Dargusch and Ms Chenille Yeomans. After considering all the evidence, Stewards issued a charge pursuant to GAR156(f)(ii). The specifics of the charge being that Ms Chenille Yeomans did engage in behaviour which, in the opinion of the Stewards, constituted misconduct in that she used offensive language directed to licensed participant Ms Nicole Connell near the catching pen prior to the running of Race 3 at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club on 28 July 2022. Ms Yeomans entered a plea of guilty and Stewards subsequently imposed a fine of $200.00 with $100.00 suspended for a period of twelve (12) months conditional upon no further similar breach. Ms Yeomans was advised of her right to an internal review.
