General: Trainer representative Stevan Shinners presented the greyhound Amplified for a further veterinary examination after competing in Race 6 at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club on 28 December 2022. Upon inspection by the on-track veterinarian, the greyhound was found to have an injury to its off side shoulder and was stood down from racing for ten (10) days.

RACE 1 - TAB - VENUE MODE NOVICE 520M

1 Jewel Bee – Checked over the middle and concluding stages of the front straight. Contacted the running rail over the finishing line in the front straight. Bumped with another runner in the early and concluding stages of the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

2 Mad Machine – Tightened for racing room and was checked over the middle and concluding stages of the front straight. Checked off heels rounding the first turn.

3 Jupiter – Tightened for racing room and was checked shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner over the concluding stages of the home straight.

5 Van Helsing – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner in the early and concluding stages of the home straight.

6 Here Wolfe – Tightened for racing room and was checked shortly after the start.

9 She's Some Fox (4) – Checked over the middle stages of the front straight. Dragged down and was checked over the concluding stages of the front straight. Checked rounding the first turn.

RACE 2 - ORSON ALLEN @ STUD BOGIE LEIGH FUTURITY (G2) HEAT 1 OPEN 520M

1 My Dream Girl – Checked off heels rounding the first turn. Bumped with another runner entering the back straight.

3 Canya Bellatrix – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room over the concluding stages of the front straight.

4 Emerald Eyes – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room and was checked in the middle stages of the front straight.

5 Kelsey Bale – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room in the middle and concluding stages of the front straight.

6 Gloria's Legacy – Bumped with another runner entering the back straight. Checked off heels rounding the turn into the home straight.

RACE 3 - ORSON ALLEN @ STUD BOGIE LEIGH FUTURITY (G2) HEAT 2 OPEN 520M

1 Samson's Delilah – Checked and was dragged down rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

2 Balmy Nights – Checked rounding the first turn.

4 Yahiro Bale – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Severely checked off heels and fell rounding the first turn. Trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

5 Embrace – Tightened for racing room and was checked shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room and was checked over the middle and concluding stages of the front straight. Bumped with another runner in the early stages of the home straight.

6 Caramel Queen – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Checked rounding the first turn.

7 Hara's Opal – Tightened for racing room and was checked over the concluding stages of the front straight. Checked off heels rounding the first turn. Bumped with another runner in the early stages of the home straight.

8 Dolly Dutton – Severely checked and fell rounding the first turn. Trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its near hind limb and was stood down from racing for fourteen (14) days.

RACE 4 - SENNACHIE @ STUD QUEENSLAND DERBY (G2) HEAT 1 OPEN 520M

2 Get Carter – Checked rounding the first turn. Bumped with another runner in the early stages of the home straight.

3 Samson Power – Checked off heels in the back straight. Dragged down rounding the turn out of the back straight. Bumped with another runner in the early stages of the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side pin and was stood down from racing for fourteen (14) days.

4 Canya Burn – Began awkwardly. Checked rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side wrist and was stood down from racing for seven (7) days.

7 Refulgent – Checked off heels and was dragged down rounding the first turn. Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

RACE 5 - SENNACHIE @ STUD QUEENSLAND DERBY (G2) HEAT 2 OPEN 520M

2 Electrified – Checked off heels rounding the first turn. Bumped with another runner in the back straight.

7 Bartel Hayze – Dragged down and was checked rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.  

8 Boys Light Up – Bumped with another runner in the back straight.

RACE 6 - SENNACHIE @ STUD QUEENSLAND DERBY (G2) HEAT 3 OPEN 520M

1 Jay Is Jay – Checked off heels rounding the first turn. Bumped with another runner rounding the turn into the back straight.

2 Handsome Alert – Checked off heels rounding the first turn.

3 Ablett Hayze – Checked rounding the first turn. Bumped with another runner rounding the turn into the back straight.

4 Perfect Tyrant – Checked in the early stages of the front straight. Severely checked and fell rounding the first turn. Trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side hip and was stood down from racing for seven (7) days.

5 Out Of Scope – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room and was checked in the early stages of the front straight.

6 Fancy A Scotch – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Checked in the early stages of the front straight. Severely checked rounding the first turn.

RACE 7 - SENNACHIE @ STUD QUEENSLAND DERBY (G2) HEAT 4 OPEN 520M

1 Arabian Again – Checked rounding the first turn.

4 Mighty Gunn – Severely checked and fell rounding the first turn. Trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

6 Gold Fillings – Tightened for racing room and was checked in the middle and concluding stages of the front straight. Checked rounding the first turn. Checked off heels in the back straight.

8 Mr. Tim Mcgee – Checked rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side pin and was stood down from racing for ten (10) days.

RACE 8 - SENNACHIE @ STUD QUEENSLAND DERBY (G2) HEAT 5 OPEN 520M

2 Simply Limelight – Checked rounding the first turn. Bumped with another runner in the early and middle stages of the home straight.

4 Sandstorm Rico – Checked rounding the first turn.

5 Shanghai Gold – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Marred by another runner over the concluding stages of the home straight.

6 Cluster – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Checked rounding the first turn. Tightened for racing room and was checked in the back straight. Bumped with another runner in the early and middle stages of the home straight.

7 Smoking Sam – Inconvenienced rounding the first turn. Dragged down and was checked in the back straight. Shifted in and turned its head to the inside making muzzle contact with another runner over the concluding stages of the home straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Raymond Burman and trainer representative Mary Burman regarding the greyhound’s racing actions in the home straight and, after hearing their evidence, deemed the greyhound’s conduct to constitute an offence of marring (1^st offence) pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 123 and, as such, Smoking Sam was suspended from racing for twenty-eight (28) days at Albion Park and must perform a satisfactory trial prior to racing next.

3 Context – Checked rounding the first turn. Dragged down and was checked entering the back straight. Bumped with another runner in the back straight.

6 Hellacious – Tightened for racing room and was checked shortly after the start. Checked in the back straight.

7 Where's The Bar – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

1 Key West – Dragged down and was severely checked rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side hip and was stood down from racing for twenty-one (21) days.
