1 Noah Charles – Checked leaving the back straight. Turned its head to the inside and made head and muzzle contact with another runner over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side pin and was stood down for ten (10) days. Stewards spoke to trainer Robert Jacobsen regarding the greyhounds racing actions over the concluding stages, and, after hearing his evidence, deemed the greyhound’s conduct to constitute an offence of marring pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 123. Stewards deemed this to be Noah Charles 1st offence pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 123 and, as such, the greyhound was suspended from racing for twenty-eight (28) days at Albion Park and must perform a satisfactory trial prior to racing again. |
