General: Licenced handler Mr Joshua Paulson was reminded of his obligations in relation to the Racing Queensland dress code.

Race 1 - MAVIS BELLAMY NOVICE (1) 520m

 

1 Rebel Blaster – Through the 1st turn was galloped on.

 

2 Stone Cold Blue – Through the 1st turn was checked.

 

3 Wendy Rocks – Shortly after the started was severely checked falling as a result and taking no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

4 Go Big Girl – Shortly after the start was tightened then was severely inconvenienced after colliding with the fallen runner.

 

5 Hozier Monelli – Slow to begin.

 

6 Ringbark Razor – Shortly after the start was tightened.

 

7 Sir Finley – Shortly after the start was checked, through the 1st turn checked across heels.

 

8 Hara's Harley – Through the 1st turn was inconvenienced and checked.

 

 

 

Race 2 - ALBERT HEWTON NOVICE (2) 520m

 

3 Rubeson – Into the back turn clipped heels and was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. As the greyhound proved difficult to box, handler T Hancock was advised the greyhound will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106(2)(a).

 

5 Canya Shelly – Rounding the home turn was checked.

 

6 Joey The Poke – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was checked, into the back turn was inconvenienced.

 

7 Bogie Hurricane – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

 

 

Race 3 - RAY UNDERWOOD MA5 (1) 520m

 

2 Samona – Into the 1st turn looked awkward in its action appearing injured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound sustained an offside back muscle injury and was stood down from racing for 28 days. Trainer J Priest was advised the greyhound must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next but after the injury period has expired.

 

5 Finglas – Slow to begin.

 

7 Lily Monelli – Through the back turn was momentarily held up.

 

 

 

Race 4 - MICK COX FFA 710m

 

2 Barefoot Flynn – Slow to begin.

 

 

 

Race 5 - NEIL BEATON 1-5 WINS 600m

 

1 Absolute Desire – Into the turn out of the home straight improved onto heels.

 

4 Motivational – Slow to begin. Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

5 Replication – Near the finish was inconvenienced by another runner.

 

7 Jewel Bee – Near the finish shifted outwards turning its away from the lure. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have offside hip injury and was stood down from racing 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainers representative M Burman regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Jewel Bee must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

 

 

Race 6 - HEDLEY WHITE GRADE 5 (1) 520m

 

1 My Genie – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

3 This Time Sara – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was checked.

 

5 Blue Rex – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

6 Top Gun – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was checked.

 

 

 

Race 7 - BEVERLEY BEHM & JOHN MURRAY GRADE 5 (2) 520m

 

2 Ally Gal – Through the 1st turn was checked.

 

3 Kasey's Money – Approaching the 1st turn was tightened, through the 1st turn was checked.

 

6 Canya Bellatrix – Into the 1st turn improved onto heels and was inconvenienced.

 

 

 

Race 8 - PETER RUETSCHI MIXED 4/5 520m

 

2 Black Magic Rose – Approaching the 1st turn was inconvenienced, through the back turn checked off heels.

 

3 Smart Houdini – Into the back turn was checked, a post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside pin and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

6 Godges – Into the back was inconvenienced.

 

7 Burned – Through the 1st turn was checked, leaving the 1st turn checked across heels.

 

8 Keyed Alike – Through the 1st turn was checked.

 

 

 

Race 9 - JOHN MCKNOULTY GRADE 5 600m

 

4 Just Like Mick – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

 

 

Race 10 - JIM NEARY & JACK HOUSTON MA5 (2) 520m

 

7 Human Touch – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

8 Vagabond Al – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was inconvenienced
