Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MDNPW 331m

3 Comical Len – Faulted approaching the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and which revealed an injury to the near side hip support and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

Race 2 - TAB - VENUE MODE MAIDEN (1) 331m

1 Wobbly Flyer- Checked entering the home straight.

4 Navada Neveah – Faulted approaching the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside pin muscle and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

6 Sirius Rodney - Checked entering the home straight. Turned its head inwards making muzzle contact with another runner. Stewards spoke to trainer D Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight, after hearing the steward’s observations, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Sirius Rodney did make head contact with the greyhound to its inside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 2nd offence under this rule Sirius Rodney was suspended from racing at all tracks for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 10 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB GRADE 5 (1) 331m

Stewards delayed giving the All Clear to allow them the opportunity to review all replay footage to ascertain if a bird on the track had interfered with any runners in the event. Stewards determined that no greyhounds chances were materially prejudiced and all clear was sounded.

7 Cuckoo Coconuts - Checked entering the first turn.

Race 11 - RHINO FINANCE GRADE 5 (2) 331m

1 Stolen Jade – Fell approaching the finish on lure. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

10 Zac The Black (3) – Checked shortly after the start.

Race 12 - GET IT GIZMO @ NEWHAVEN STUD MA5 331m

3 Gus Gus - Checked entering the first turn.

5 Louie Luxe – Checked entering the first turn.

6 Nossa – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request which revealed an injury to the offside foreleg and was stood down from racing for 5 days.

8 Cha Cha Charlie – Checked and gave ground adbruptly in the back straight, trailing the field for remainder of event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to both nearside and offside gracilis muscle and was stood down from racing for 60 days and must complete a Stewards trial before future nomination are accepted. Connections advised that they will be retiring the greyhound from racing following tonight’s findings.
