Race 1 - GET IT GIZMO @ NEWHAVEN STUD NOVICE 520m

1 Sir Finley – Severely checked and fell entering the back straight. Tailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormities.

2 Pakington Street – Turned its head outward and made muzzle contact with another runner entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Peter O’Reilly regarding the greyhound’s racing actions entering the home straight, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr O’Reilly, stewards deemed Pakington Street did turn its head outwards and make muzzle contact with another runner therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Pakington Street was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

3 Shishkin – Tightened through the first turn. Severely checked entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the offside hip and was subsequently stood down for 7 days.

4 Scenic Sizzler – Dragged down and severely checked entering the back straight.

8 Nikanova – Inconvenienced entering the home straight when marred by another runner.

Race 2 - QGOLD EMERGING SPRINTERS (L) HEAT 1 OPEN 520m

1 Another Chance – Checked in the first turn.

2 King Of Cool – Checked in the first turn. Raced wide throughout. Checked in the home turn.

3 Villante – Tightened in the first turn.

4 My Dream Girl – Began awkwardly. Checked in the home turn.

5 Icy Hot – Checked in the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

6 Ninetymile Rose – Checked in the first turn. Checked racing through the catching pen. Checked in the home turn.

8 Hot Tyson – Checked in the first turn. Checked racing through the catching pen. Shied in the home straight.

1 Hot Blaster – Slow to begin.

3 Perfect Tyrant – Checked in the first turn.

5 Ringbark Razor – Checked in the first turn.

Race 4 - QGOLD EMERGING SPRINTERS (L) HEAT 3 OPEN 520m

1 Bentley Boom – Checked in the first turn.

4 Ally Gal – Tightened in the first turn.

5 Rebel Blaster – Checked approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

Race 5 - BORGBET QGOLD WINTER CHASE (L) HEAT 1 OPEN 600m

1 She's Sweet – Checked in the first turn.

2 Isurava – Checked turning into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and was subsequently stood down for 7 days.

3 Jewel Bee – Checked in the first turn.

5 Daysea's Rowdy - Checked in the first turn. Checked turning into the back straight.

6 Springtime Rose – Checked leaving the back straight.

8 Blazing Smoke – Checked in the first turn.

Race 6 - BORGBET QGOLD WINTER CHASE (L) HEAT 2 OPEN 600m

No significant racing incidents

Race 7 - BORGBET QGOLD WINTER SPRINT (L) HEAT 1 OPEN 520m

1 Cincinnati Bill – Severely checked and fell turning into the back straight. Tailed the filed for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

3 Springtime Storm – Dragged down entering the back straight.

Race 8 - BORGBET QGOLD WINTER SPRINT (L) HEAT 2 OPEN 520m

2 Mr. Springtime – Checked leaving the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.  

3 De Ferran – Inconvenienced in the home straight.

6 Hello Mike – Checked in the first turn. Turned its head out and eased in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Travis Elson regarding the greyhound’s racing actions in the home straight, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Elson, stewards deemed Hello Mike did turn its head outwards and eased therefore invoked GAR 124 failing to pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 2nd offence under this rule Hello Mike was suspended from racing at all tracks for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Race 9 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND FFA 710m

7 Gin Shelf – Severely checked and was marred for the entire home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

8 Tiki Bar – Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with a runner to its outside for the entire home straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Dyllan Heddles regarding the greyhound’s racing actions in the home straight, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Heddles, stewards deemed Tiki Bar did turn its head outwards and make muzzle contact with another runner therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Tiki Bar was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Race 10 - TAB - VENUE MODE MIXED 3/4 520m

4 Big Town Hero – Began awkwardly. Bumped in the home straight.

5 Aston Barak – Checked in the first turn. Improved onto heels over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

6 Declan Monelli – Slow to begin.

7 Nando Dreamer – Bumped in the home straight.

Race 11 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 520m

5 Tarawi Magic – Severely checked in the first turn.

6 Rich Link – Checked in the first turn.

8 Barefoot Cowboy – Checked in the first turn.
