Race 1 - Stewards Report Template Townsville - 13/06/2023

2 Icy Eyes Severely checked and fell entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

6 Lough Neagh Shifted out and made head contact with another runner rounding the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near hind toe (laceration), 10 days stand down from racing.

Stewards spoke to James Loye, the trainer of Lough Neagh regarding the greyhound’s racing manners leaving the turn into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 marring, Lough Neagh was found in breach and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127, before any future nomination will be accepted.

8 Double Up Rose Checked rounding the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

Race 2 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY NOVICE 2 395m

1 Above The Cloud Improved upon the heels of another runner leaving the back straight.

3 Blue Haze Checked leaving the back straight.

4 Lady Charm Bumped and shifted out rounding the turn into the back straight. Bumped approaching the finish.

6 Atomic Hope Bumped and shifted out rounding the turn into the back straight.

1 Just Like Nu Checked rounding the turn into the back straight. Took an awkward step entering the turn out of the back straight.

3 Titanium Gunn Bumped entering the turn out of the front straight.

7 Hello Cyndie Bumped entering the turn out of the front straight.

Race 8 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 2 395m

3 Moment Of Glory Checked entering the turn into the back straight.

4 Sorrento Breeze Checked entering the turn into the back straight.

5 Rusty Demon Checked entering the turn into the back straight.

7 Rolling Start Checked entering the turn into the back straight. Turned its head to the inside, away from the lure passing the home straight.

Rolling Start underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have near hind leg injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Keith Donaldson regarding the greyhounds’ racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) Rolling Start was found in breach and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
