spoke to trainer Mr J Britton regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at
that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing
the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that
Mepunga Riley did make muzzle contact with the greyhound to its inside
therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. Mepunga Riley was suspended from racing
at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory
steward’s trial prior to racing next.
