General: Trainer Robert Jacobsen entered a plea of guilty and was fined the sum of $200.00 in respect of a charge issued pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 76(7) as a result of the greyhound She’s So Crazy being scratched from Race 4 at Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club on the 11^{th of} August 2023 for a reason which, in the opinion of the Stewards, was unacceptable.

Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 331m

5 Midnight Girl – Severely checked in the back straight then trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the greyhounds near hind leg under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Race 2 - TAB - VENUE MODE MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 331m

2 Elly Blaster – Became unbalanced and shifted out abruptly entering the home turn, then trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside shoulder injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Race 3 - BRISGREYS.COM MAIDEN HEAT 3 MAIDEN 331m

1 He’s Impetuous – Shifted out across heels entering the home turn. Marred by another runner on several occasions rounding the home turn and entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer Chad Bridge stated the greyhound prefers to race wide in less constricted room.

5 Can Dig It – Turned its head outwards towards another runner in the back straight, shifted out and made contact with another runner on several occasions on the home turn and entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed near side shoulder injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Steward’s spoke to trainers representative Sandra Hunt regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring 1^st offence – 28 days stand down at Albion Park and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 4 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE (1) 331m

2 Street Angel – Checked entering the home turn. Turned its head outwards towards another runner approaching the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Reg Hazelgrove regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 2^nd offence – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

7 Who’s Rose – Checked in the back straight, checked entering the home turn, checked on the home turn, made contact with the rail passing the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 5 - TIGGERLONG TONK @ STUD NOVICE (2) 331m

1 Love A Rum – Tighten soon after the start and made contact with the rail, checked entering the home turn then gave ground and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 6 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MIXED 3/4 331m

1 Cody’s Stud – Beaten favourite. Slow to begin checked entering the first turn. A post-race urine sample was obtained.

10 Hay You Beast – Eased soon after the start and took no competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Neil Demnar regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1^st offence – 28 days stand down at Albion Park and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 7 - SENNACHIE @ STUD - STEVE WHITE MIXED 1/2 331m

Race 8 - ORSON ALLEN @ METICULOUS LODGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 331m

6 Hipwood Hayze – Raced awkwardly rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

7 Whole Truth – Severely checked entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 9 - HOUDINI BOY @ NEWHAVEN STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 331m
