Race 1 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520m

No racing incidents of concern.

Race 2 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB 1-5 WINS 600m

2. Master Grunt – Leaving the turn out of the home straight put in an awkward stride a short distance later was galloped on and was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock and was stood down from racing for 90 days.

7. My Genie – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injuries.

Race 3 - NEWHAVEN STUD FARM FFA 600m

7. Oreo Ethics – Beaten 16 lengths, a post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities

8. Hoover – Near the finish turned its head inwards and visibly eased. Stewards spoke to trainer C Druery regarding the greyhound’s actions over the concluding stages, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Druery, stewards deemed Hoover had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 5th offence under this rule Hoover was suspended from racing at all tracks for 3 months and until the successful completion of 2 satisfactory steward’s trials.
