2. Coruscate – In the home straight turned its head outwards making head and muzzle contact with the runner to its outside. Stewards spoke to trainers representative B Dargusch regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed Coruscate did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Coruscate was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

2. Rosie’s Prince - Into the turn out of the home straight visible eased, near the finish eased. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside wrist and was stood down from racing for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer B George regarding the greyhound’s racing actions for those stages of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr George, stewards and trainer deemed Rosie’s Prince did ease on both occasions therefore invoked GAR 125 Failing to Pursue by reason of injury. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Rosie’s Prince was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 10 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
