1 Pocket Size – Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to offside wrist and was subsequently stood down for 14 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr M Heilbronn regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Pocket Size did make muzzle contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Pocket Size was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

7 Comical Travis –Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to offside wrist and was subsequently stood down for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr D Pearce regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Comical Travis did make muzzle contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Comical Travis was suspended from racing at all tracks for 3 months and until the completion of two satisfactory steward’s trials prior to racing next.

5 Tuscany Cyndie – Dragged down entering the top turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near side wrist and was subsequently stood down for 7 days.
6 Louie Luxe – Severely checked and fell entering the top turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the chest and was subsequently stood down for 10 days.
