Race 1 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520m |

5. Bye Bye Swiper – Into the 1st turn was checked, entering the back straight marred another runner for a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainers representative B Dargusch regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Bye Bye Swiper did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside on several occasions, therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Bye Bye Swiper was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

6. Pursuer – Through the 1st turn was checked, a short distance later was marred for a considerable distance failing the finish as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

9. Party Mode - In the home straight marred the runner to its inside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer C Gardoll regarding the greyhound’s racing manners over the concluding stages, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Party Mode did make head contact with the greyhound to its inside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Party Mode was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

5. Lightning Rod – Into the back turn, shifted out taking its attention away from the lure also easing as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer N Falls regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Falls, stewards deemed Lightning Rod had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Lighting Rod was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |

5. Inevitable – Slow to begin, checked into the 1st turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. When asked to comment on tonight’s performance, Trainer S Zammit was of the view the greyhound was very disappointing and stated the greyhound usually leads but after being slow to begin it proved very detrimental in the way the greyhound raced tonight. Ms Zammit further added she did support the greyhound. |
