Stewards declared this event a “No Race” in accordance with GAR 110(1), due a checked runner turning in the opposite direction midway down the home straight on the 1st occasion and running back toward the rest of the field. Stewards called for the lure to be safely pulled up. |

5. Sorority – Into the 1st turn was severely checked, a post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hip and was stood down from racing for 14 days |

|
In the home straight marred the runner to its outside. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative M Burman regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the reviewing the video replay and hearing the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Champagne Jazzy did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 3rd offence under this rule Champagne Jazzy was suspended from racing at all tracks for 3 months and until the completion of two satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
