3 Wobbly Flyer – Turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure for the majority of the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer N Murdoch regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Murdoch, stewards deemed Wobbly Flyer had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Wobbly Flyer was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
