Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MDNPW 331m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 2 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN (1) 331m

All clear was delayed to afford Stewards the opportunity to view the official photo, after doing so Stewards were satisfied with the placings and all clear was given on the judges numbers.

3 Purveyors – Severely checking in the back straight then trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

6 Rezoned – Eased and turned its head inwards towards another runner entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side eye injury and minor lacerations to the hind legs under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Reg Hazelgrove regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to purse by reason of injury – 5 days stand down and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

6 Splittin’ Tens – Severely checked and fell on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near foreleg injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 14 days.

10 Buttercup Babe – Became unbalanced and gave ground in the back straight then trailed the field for the remainder of the event.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed a groin strain under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 7 days.
