Stewards spoke to trainer D Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Johnstone, stewards deemed Sirius Frank had taken its attention away from the lure and therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 2nd offence under this rule Sirius Frank was suspended from racing at all tracks for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.
