Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 331m

No significant racing incidents.

Race 2 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 331m

3 Greystone Hawk- Late scratching at 3.45pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92(2) due to off hind toe injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

7 Epic Black- Checked shortly after the start. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.  

Race 3 - TAB MAIDEN HEAT 3 MAIDEN 331m

1 Sirius Emily- Shifted out racing through the turn out of the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside pin muscle and nearside hip. Sirius Emily was stood down from racing for 10 days. Stewards spoke with trainer Mr Darren Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s actions rounding the turn out of the back straight. When considering the matter, including the injury sustained and the stand down period, no further action was taken.   

7 Ocean’s Dream- Fell after the finish line. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside bicep and was stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory Stewards trial before returning to racing.

Race 4 - GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN HEAT 4 MAIDEN 331m

4 Rita’s Speed- Beaton favourite. Tightened for room shortly after the start. Checked entering the turn off the back straight.  

Race 5 - FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE NPW 331m

8 Grigoryan- Beaton favourite. Was galloped on from behind in the back straight. Raced awkwardly through the turn out of the back straight. Bumped entering the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 6 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE 331m

5 She’s A Kiwi- Contacted the running rail entering the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 7 - ORCHESTRATE @ STUD 0400 351 880 GRADE 4 331m

1 Awesome Swan- Raced wide through the turn out of the back straight and lost ground.

Race 8 - SKY RACING BEST 8 331m

No significant racing incidents.

Race 9 - MARBURG PUB 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 331m

No significant racing incidents.

Race 10 - GET IT GIZMO @ NEWHAVEN STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 331m

2 Ruby Shines- Severely checked through the turn out of the back straight causing the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

5 Class Of Twenty- Severely checked through the turn out of the back straight causing the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

10 Flying Star- Severely checked through the turn out of the back straight causing the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside wrist and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

Race 11 - TIGGERLONG TONK @ STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 331m

No significant racing incidents.

Race 12 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 331m
