Race 1 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520m |

2. Whistlin’ Reigns – Shortly after the start was inconvenienced, during the event looked awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an no apparent abnormalities. When questioned regarding tonight’s performance, trainer D Russell stated it was the greyhounds first go around the Albion Park track and the bitch did not handle the turns, he further added when the greyhound was checked in the early stages it was proved very detrimental being placed at the rear of the field. Stewards noted Mr Russell’s comments. |

2. Smart Houdini – On pulling up in the catching pen was knocked over by another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to its face, no stand down period was imposed. |

5. Another Chance – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. |

2. Double Up Bill – Into the 1st turn was checked, approaching the back turn collided with another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

6. Deemed A Lair – Through the 1st turn put in an awkward stride as a result failed to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock and was stood down from racing for 90 days |

3. Gold Fillings – Approaching the 1st turn was tightened and severely checked appearing injured as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin and was stood down from racing 28 days |

Race 11 - AUSTRALIA DAY PARTY @ BRISGREYS JAN 25 GRADE 5 (2) 520m |

1. Weblec Marquise – Through the back turn shifted out carrying another runner wider on the track, in the home straight shifted out abruptly marring the runner to its outside. Stewards spoke to trainer M Kirillidis regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Weblec Marquise did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Weblec Marquise was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
