Race 1 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN 2 520m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 2 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB NOVICE 2 520m

7 Instant Cash – Dragged down leaving the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

9 Grigoryan – Eased and turned its head outwards towards another runner rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer S Neary regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Neary, stewards deemed Grigoryan had eased and taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Grigoryan was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Race 3 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 1 710m

2 Sirius Dianna – Checked entering and again rounding the first turn. Tailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

4 Small Town – Checked entering and again rounding the first turn. Tailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to he off fore pin and was subsequently stood down for 7 days.

Race 4 - SENNACHIE @ STUD - STEVE WHITE MIXED 4/5 2 520m

Race 5 - NEWHAVEN STUD FARM NMW (1) 2 520m

Race 6 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MA5 2 520m

7 Waikarie Molly – Tired over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards questioned trainer Mr B Baker in regard to the below market expectation performance of the greyhound, Mr Baker stated that Waikarie Molly had been performing well over the short course however was first up over the 520m for the first time in approximately 6 months. Further, Mr Baker stated he believes the greyhound had tired towards the end of the event and would derive benefit from the run tonight. Mr Baker had not supported the greyhound in tonight’s event. Stewards noted Mr Bakers explanation.

Race 7 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE GRADE 5 2 600m

Race 8 - SKY RACING 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 2 520m

7 Obliging Bill – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near fore webbing and was subsequently stood down for 14 days.

Race 9 - TAB - VENUE MODE NMW (2) 2 520m

1 Which Trap – Severely checked rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off side wrist and was subsequently stood down for 7 days.

4 Blazing Lady – Severely checked and fell rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 10 - GET IT GIZMO @ NEWHAVEN STUD NMW (3) 2 520m

1 Geneva Babe – Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. Failed to complete the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near side wrist and was subsequently stood down for 10 days.

3 Here’s Howie – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off side wrist and was subsequently stood down for 10 days.

4 Copacetic - Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. Tailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off side wrist and was subsequently stood down for 7 days.

6 Red Yogi - Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. Tailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the chest muscle and was subsequently stood down for 5 days.

Race 11 - BRISGREYS.COM GRADE 5 3 395m
