6 Lord Yuri- Checked shortly after the start. Checked entering the first turn and became unbalanced. Checked entering the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near fore foot and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

5 Hilde- Beaten favourite. Checked entering the first turn and lost considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer, Mr D Russell commented that he intends on stepping the greyhound up in distance in attempt to mitigate a pattern of early interference suffered in recent starts. |

8 Sorority- Beaten favourite ($1.28). Eased entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hip and was stood down for a period of 14 days. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Ms J Cutlack regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event. After reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Ms J Cutlack, Stewards deemed Sorority had eased and taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 125 Failing to Pursue by reason of injury. Sorority was suspended from racing until the successful completion of a satisfactory Steward’s trial. A post-race sample was collected for analysis. |
