Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MAIDEN 2 520m $5680

1 Destini Jethro – Made contact with the rail in the front straight, checked entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. A post-race urine sample was obtained.

Stewards spoke to trainer Keith Boan as some noticeable betting fluctuations were noted. Mr Boan stated that the greyhound doesn’t begin well, and he believes the greyhound will be better suited to racing over more distance later in its career, therefore he was not disappointed with the greyhound’s performance today, furthermore he did not support the greyhound in today’s event. Stewards noted the submissions.

6 Take A Shot - Underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.

Race 2 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY NOVICE (1) 2 520m

1 My Holiday Fund – Fell entering the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

7 Brother’s Keeper – Gave ground approaching the home turn, became unbalanced rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside pin injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Shane Ellis regarding the greyhound actions on the home turn, after considering all available evidence the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

Race 3 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE (2) 2 520m

Prior to the running of race 3 a fault occurred with the lure controls and as a result the race was delayed approximately 3 minutes while the lure was tested.

1 Howdy Doody – Fell in the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 4 - TAB - VENUE MODE GRADE 5 (1) 1 710m

Race 5 - FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE GRADE 5 (2) 1 710m

Race 6 - SKY RACING NMW (1) 2 520m

Race 7 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE GRADE 5 2 600m

4 Black Wizard – Bumped on the home turn then became unbalanced entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

7 Heffernan Bale – Became unbalanced on the first turn then gave ground and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside back muscle injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.

Race 8 - TIGGERLONG TONK @ STUD 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 2 520m

Race 9 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB NMW (2) 2 520m

3 Kenny Dutton – Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

4 Titan Rhea – Severely checked entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a back strain under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Race 10 - BRISGREYS.COM NMW (3) 2 520m

2 French Crop – Severely checked and fell entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side hip support injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

3 Lord Yuri – Severely checked entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions on the offside front leg under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

Race 12 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MA5 2 520m

8 Hoover – Eased and turned its head outward towards another runner on the home turn and entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Cecil Druery regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse – 3 months stand down at all tracks and must complete 2 satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

9 Blue Rex - Late scratching at 5.50pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have an offside wrist injury during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.
