General: A hair sample was taken from the greyhound PRONOUNS having been presented for a special trial.
After the running of race 2, stewards along with the track curator conducted an inspection of the track. The track was deemed suitable for racing. |

Race 1 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE NOVICE 520m |
|
1. Margaret’s Angel – Into the first turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |
|
3. Fearless Freak – Shortly after the start was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin. A 7 day stand down was imposed. |
|
8. Pickle And Jean – Over the concluding stages marred the runner to its inside. Stewards spoke to trainer C Druery regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, After hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Pickle And Jean did make head contact with the greyhound to its inside on two occasions therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Pickle And Jean was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

8. Blazing Smoke – Into the first turn clipped heels, falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

5. Humble Hornet – In the back straight made heavy contact with the running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside hind leg and was stood down from racing for 21 days. |

1. Oh Minnie – Into the first turn was galloped and checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin and was stood down from racing for 10 days. |

8. Obliging Hope – In the home straight put in an awkward stride. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock and was stood down from racing for 90 days. The greyhound must successfully complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
