General: Trainer Mr G Streatfield entered a plea of guilty and was fined the sum of $200.00 in respect of a charge issued pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 76(7) as a result of the greyhounds Montkeila Boy & Miss Freyja being scratched from Race 2 for a reason which, in the opinion of the Stewards, was unacceptable. 

Trainer G Boody was reminded of his obligations regarding the Racing Queensland dress code.

4. Super Leon – Rounding the home turn shifted out taking its attention away the lure. Stewards spoke to trainers representative T Hancock regarding the greyhound’s actions for that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Ms Hancock, stewards deemed Super Leon had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s first offence under this rule Super Leon was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Race 9 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB NMW (3) 2 520m

5. Rare Beauty – Rounding the home turn faltered in its action appearing injured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to offside hock and was stood down from racing for 90 days.

Race 10 - BRISGREYS.COM MA5 2 520m

5. Seldom Seen Kid – Into the first turn was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside fore foot and was stood down from racing for 28 days. Trainer A Webb was advised the greyhound must successfully complete a steward’s trail prior to racing next.
