Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 2 395m

1. Devil Don’t Know - Late scratching at 1:38pm due to weight variation GAR 101(1). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer C Dargusch was fined $100 acting under GAR 101(3)(b)

6. Barefoot Zulu – Checked into the first turn, in the back straight was inconvenienced, over the concluding stages marred the runner to its inside. A post veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside wrist and was stood down from racing for 7 days. Stewards spoke to trainer J Thompson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners for that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Barefoot Zulu did make head contact with the greyhound to its inside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Barefoot Zulu was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial after the injury period has expired and prior to racing next.

Race 2 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 2 395m

No racing incidents of concerns.

Race 3 -GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 2 395m

3. Boxcar Wilde – Over the concluding stages turned its head inwards and shifted in resulting in multiple runners being checked. Stewards spoke to trainer K Brown regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Boxcar Wilde must successfully complete a satisfactory stewards trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Race 4 - TAB - VENUE MODE 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 2 395m

2. Swift Bill – Into the first turn was checked. A post veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside foot and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

Race 5 -FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 2 395m

Race 6 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 3 520m

No racing incidents of concerns.

Race 7 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVI GRADE 4 2 395m

1. Titan Rhea – Leaving the first turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 8 - TIGGERLONG TONK @ STUD BEST 8 2 395m

No racing incidents of concerns.

Race 9 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 2 395m

4. Cyndie’s Swift – Rounding the home turn put in an awkward stride then bumped heavily with the runner to its outside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside pin and was stood down from racing for 14 days

Race 10 - BRISGREYS.COM 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 2 395m

3. Who’s The Man – Approaching the back turn was galloped on losing considerable ground as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside hip and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

Race 12 - MARBURG PUB MA5 (2) 2 395m

8. Fernvale Flash – In the back straight commenced to weaken appearing injured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its stomach and was stood down from racing for 28 days.
