Serrai – Checked after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

 

Spiderbait – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an off-hind leg injury and was stood down for 14 days.

 

Race 3 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY FFA 710m

Race 4 - SKY RACING BRISBANE CUP PRELUDE FINAL 1 OPEN 520m

 

Superstar Ethics – Went up with the lids and lost considerable ground.

 

Race 5 - TAB THE DASHING CORSAIR (G3) FINAL OPEN 710m

 

Valpolicella – Checked in the first turn. Checked through the turn into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer T Zammit stated that the greyhound when improving through the catching pen was impeded and was then unable to improve its position.

 

Race 6 - GARRARD'S CYNDIE'S MAGIC (G2) FINAL OPEN 600m

 

One Hot Bandit – Eased and turned its head inwards towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side hip injury and was stood down for 7 days. Stewards spoke to the trainers representative D Thomas regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the available footage and considering submissions from Mr Thomas, stewards deemed that One Hot Bandit had taken its attention away from the lure and acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). One Hot Bandit must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Especially Rare – Performed below market expectation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer T Rees stated the greyhound failed to handle the extended travel to attend tonight’s meeting, he further added it was the greyhounds first time at Albion Park. Stewards noted Mr Rees’ comments and advised him that the greyhounds performances would be monitored.

 

Excessive – Checked through the turn into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
