1. Whistle Away – Beaten $1.6 favourite. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. When asked to comment on today’s performance, trainer G Gilbert stated he was disappointed with the performance considering the greyhound trialled well between starts. He further added the greyhound recovered well from its previous start after resuming from a 10-week spell and he would monitor its recovery from today’s event. |

5. Cobblepot – Leaving the first turn was checked, rounding the home turn was inconvenienced, raced wide for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

4. Don’t Tell Helen – Leaving the first turn put in an awkward stride appearing injured as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside back muscle and was stood down from racing for 60 days and must successfully complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

3. Set The Stage – Near the finish shifted out marring the runner to its outside. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Ms L Brand regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the submissions from Ms Brand, stewards deemed that Set The Stage did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 3rd offence under this rule Set The Stage was suspended from racing at all tracks for 3 months and must successfully complete 2 stewards’ trial prior to racing next. |
