General: Trainers Chris Riordon and John Watts were reminded of there obligations regarding the Racing Queensland dress code.

Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MDNPW 331m

 

4. Diva Unleashed – Through the back turn took its attention away from the lure, rounding the home turn marred the runner to its outside. Stewards spoke to trainer David Bailey regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed Diva Unleashed did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Diva Unleased was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

9. Unit Two – Through the back turn was severely checked falling as a result. A post race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound sustained a back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 2 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN (1) 331m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 3 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN (2) 331m

 

1. Blue Augie - Rounding the home turn marred the runner to its outside. Stewards spoke to trainer Casey Bartusch regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed Diva Unleashed did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Diva Unleased was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

2. My Milo – Shortly after the start raced in restricted room then appeared injured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

 

4. Golden Bell – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 4 - TAB - VENUE MODE MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 331m

 

6. Some Diva – In the back straight was severely checked, approaching the back turn was checked, into the back turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparat abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 5 - FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE NOVICE (1) 331m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 6 - SKY RACING NOVICE (2) 331m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 7 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MIXED 3/4 331m

 

8. Contract – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.

 

 

 

Race 8 - TIGGERLONG TONK @ STUD MIXED 1/2 331m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 9 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 331m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 10 - BRISGREYS.COM GRADE 4 331m

 

4. Blowin’ A Tune - In the home straight marred the runner to its inside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside foreleg injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Paul Hennelly regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed Blowin’ A Tune did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Blowin’ A Tune was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next after the injury period has expired.

 

 

 

Race 11 - TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MA5 (1) 331m

 

1. Fat Boy’s Wants – In the back straight commenced to weaken appearing injured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside back muscle injury. A 42 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer David Bailey was advised the greyhound must successfully complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

7. Polly’s Jester - Late scratching at 4:37pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the veterinary official found the greyhound to have an offside wrist injury during kennelling. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 12 - MARBURG PUB MA5 (2) 331m

 

No racing incidents of concern.
