5 Red Yogi- Checked entering the back straight and weakened. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside wrist and was stood down from racing for a period of 7 days.

5 Grander Makaira- Turned its head towards the runner to its inside in the home straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Jedd Naum regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event. After reviewing the video replay and hearing the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Grander Makaira had marred the greyhound to its inside, therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. Grander Makaira was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
