Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MAIDEN 2 520m

7 Blue Ridge- Checked rounding the turn into the back straight causing the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.   

Race 2 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY NOVICE 2 520m

1 Mossy Boots- Contacted the running rail entering the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 3 - GORSKI ENGINEERING GRADE 5 1 710m

Race 4 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 5 (1) 2 600m

7 Hole in One- Bumped with another runner in the home straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr M Vaughan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event. After hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that Hole In One had breached any GAR’s and no further action was taken.

1 Fanciful- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R Hazelgrove regarding the greyhound’s actions in the home straight, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Hazelgrove, stewards deemed Fanciful had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. Fanciful was suspended from racing for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Race 11 - BRISGREYS.COM MA5 2 520m

Race 12 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 5 3 395m

6 Black Commanche- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.  

7 Blue Raptor- Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Forced another runner wider on the track in the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside tibia and was stood down for a period of 7 days. Stewards spoke to trainer W Nicholls regarding the greyhound’s actions in the home straight, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Nicholls, stewards deemed Blue Raptor had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. Blue Raptor was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.
