Race 1 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 2 395m

3 Lorikeet Pete – Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off hind leg and was subsequently stood down for 14 days.

7 Flash Card - Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

8 Janey - Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the left wrist and was subsequently stood down for 10 days.

9 Hard Style Tiger - Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

Race 2 -DAVE BRETT MEMORIAL (L) HEAT 1 NOV/M 1 520m   

1 Somerset Bluey – Checked entering the first turn and commenced to give ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off hind leg and was subsequently stood down for 28 days. Further, the greyhound must complete an injury trial prior to returning to racing.

4 Sneaky Pete – Made contact with the running rail entering the first turn. Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with a runner to its outside rounding the home turn and again in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer T Tzouvelis regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Sneaky Pete did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Sneaky Pete was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 3 - DAVE BRETT MEMORIAL (L) HEAT 2 NOV/M 1 520m

Race 4 - DAVE BRETT MEMORIAL (L) HEAT 3 NOV/M 1 520m

4 Crystal Echoes – Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

Race 5 - DAVE BRETT MEMORIAL (L) HEAT 4 NOV/M 1 520m

6 Blue Ridge – Severely checked in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

7 Lucky Llama – Declared a late scratching @ 2:25pm.

3 Obliging Lionel – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near side wrist and was subsequently stood down for 10 days.

6 Daysea’s Shelly – Serveley checked and fell rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
