Race 1 -GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND FFA 710m |
|
7. Valpolicella – Raced wide for the majority of the event, a post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. When questioned regarding tonight’s seemingly disappointing performance, trainer T Zammit stated the bitch was 1st up for 19 days from when it last started in South Australia and it may have been a run short coming into the event. He further added the greyhound was caught wide and couldn’t get in at any point of the event which proved detrimental. |

5. Speedy Paws – Shortly after the start was tightened, leaving the first turn was tightened and faulted in its action falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound had sustained a fracture to its offside radius and ulna. Due to the catastrophic nature of this injury the greyhound was euthanised on humane grounds. |

7. I’m Peakin’ – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. |

6. Lost Signal – Approaching the first turn faltered in its action appearing injured and failed to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its stomach. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. |

8. Hozier Monelli – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. |

1. Georgie Choo – Approaching the first turn improved onto heels becoming severely checked, a short distance later appeared awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside wrist. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. |
