Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MAIDEN 2 520m

4 Miss Freyja- Checked rounding the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G Streatfield regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Streatfield, stewards deemed Miss Freyja had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. Miss Freyja was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Race 2 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY NOVICE 2 520m

2 Crystal Echoes- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside hind foot and was stood down from racing for a period of 14 days.  

Race 3 - GORSKI HARDOX TOUGH TIPPERS GRADE 5 1 710m

3 Pursuer- Commenced to weaken through the turn out of the front straight on the first occasion and took no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside hind leg and was stood down from racing for a period of 90 days. Stewards further ordered that the greyhound must perform a satisfactory steward’s trial before returning to racing.

Race 5 - TAB - VENUE MODE 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 2 520m

Race 6 - FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 2 520m

4 Some Diva- Checked in the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside hip and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.

5 Contagious- Turned its head outwards in the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside pin muscle and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Cynthia Suttle regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Ms Suttle, stewards deemed Contagious had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 125 Failing to Pursue (by reason of injury). Contagious was suspended from racing until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Race 7 - SKY RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 2 520m
