6 Billy Cash Jet – Checked and became unbalanced in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injuries.
8 Howdy Hope – Turned its head towards the outside runner through the back turn taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary exam revealed an injury to the offside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer W.Elson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury – 14 days stand down at Albion and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
