Race 1 - LADBROKES BET TICKER MAIDEN 2 395m |
|
4 Trendy Art – Into the back turn turned its head outwards away from the lure inconveniencing the runner to its outside a short distance later turned its head inwards to the runner to its inside momentarily easing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer R Ayres regarding the greyhound’s actions for both stages of the event. After reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Ayres, stewards deemed Trendy Art had taken its attention away from the lure on 2 occasions therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Trendy Art was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
