General: All runners engaged in Race 6 the Gold Cup Final and Race 8 the Gold Bullion Final were subjected to Out of Competition urine and hair testing.

4 Deadly Avenger – Into the 1st turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 9 - SKY RACING MIXED 4/5 520m

 

The all clear was delayed to allow stewards to ascertain whether any runners were affected by a flock of birds on the track leaving the 1st turn. After reviewing the race vision, stewards were satisfied no runners were materially affected and subsequently the all clear was given on the judges semaphored numbers.

 

 

Race 10 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE GRADE 5 (1) 520m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 11 – BRISGREYS.COM GRADE 5 (2) 520m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 12 - LADBROKES FAST WITHDRAWALS MA5 520m

 

1 Mr Springtime – Shortly after the start collided with another runner as a result appeared injured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside back muscle. A 60 day stand down was imposed. Trainer’s representative C Jackson was advised the greyhound must successfully complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next.
