TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 460m

The greyhound GALWAY THUNDER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 460m in a time of 27:15 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

CARLTON UNITED BREWERIES MAIDEN HEAT 1 460M

Most of the field jumped evenly, last out of the boxes was, carlo scorcho and mystic Kahn.  Clear after the jump and entire field tightened through turn 1, down the back straight Hayden’s boy was high on the track.  Clear until home turn when watch me wiggle and our pursuit ran wide.

2.

DES ALLEN & CO. FUNERALS MAIDEN HEAT 2 460M

Black paint jumped well, but blizzard blitz missed the start through the first turn blizzard blitz and eddy’s chant checked lightly and caused eddy’s chant to run high past the catching pen.  Along the back straight Korong was high, past the Mobil corner and around the home turn black paint dropped off the back of the field.  Down the finish straight Korong and eddy’s chant were wide.  After the race black paint was sent to the vet and no injuries found.

UNCLE RUSTYS PHOTOS NOVICE 460M

Classy bamquin jumped well and moet girl and black bomber jumping last, clear around first turn and back straight, by the Mobil corner kialla held a strong lead.  Past the 550m boxes and onto the finish straight, sissy le hey ran wide.  After the race nothing was vetted and a swab on the winner was announced.

OUTBACK PET MEATS 5th GRADE 460M

Spring planet won the start, after the jump go hoady and tail it up were tight and then around the first corner go hoady was tight with master Cody, clear past the catching pen but along the back straight near the 720m boxes all about hope was on the high side of the track and stayed wide for remainder of race.  Down the finish straight spring planet also ran wide. After the race nothing was vetted but a swab was called on the winner.

5.

BUNDY BRAKES 5th GRADE 460M

After the jump good boy Seamus ran wide almost to the fence before turning back towards the rail and lost a lot of ground, clear through turn 1 and catching pen.  Nothing wide around the home turn or finish straight.

 

After the race Paul Burgess was given a $50.00 fine rule 48 for not having a catcher.

6.

BROTHERS SPORTS CLUB 5th GRADE 460M

Even start, clear after the jump.  Through the first turn sweet dimple and thurrungo checked, and past the catching pen vaselius was on the high side of the track, down the back straight sweet dimple and absolute serial were tight and squeezed ready to win out the back and caused him to fall heavily, in the home turn thurrungo tried to get back to the rail and checked with vaselius.  After the race ready to win was sent to the vet and found to have suffered a front right leg injury and given 10 days.

7.

EAST END HOTEL 4/5th GRADE 460M

Malloury queen & spring firechief jumped first, after the jump havoc and mayhem checked lightly with blue prince, by the first turn the entire field was tight but past the catching pen and onto the back straight had sorted themselves out and nothing to report at any other points of reference.

8.

SHARP BUSINESS EQUIPMENT 4/5th GRADE 550M

Even start, after the jump and past the 460m boxes Mr reality was wide, and was still wide at the 720m boxes but had come back tight to the rail by the home turn, onto the finish straight copper light was out wide.
