LINDSAY MCCARTHY’S USED CARS MAIDEN HEAT 1 460M

An even start with the exception of GLAMOUROUS CAMBLA who was noticeably slow away. The majority of the field was tight at the 1^st corner, CAMBLA DRUMMER AND CAMBLA BABY got checked on occasion. Running down the back straight, CAMBLA BABY run onto the back of CAMBLA DRUMMER causing it to slow marginally. In the home corner WILBY SUPREME left the rails and focused on HAY YOU STAR, running towards it and shortly after made contact with it. KINKY CAMBLA raced wide down the home straight.

Stewards advised trainer Mr. G Kennedy that the greyhound WILBY SUPREME would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1^st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards trial 460m all tracks.

Mr Kennedy remarked he was surprised and disappointed by the greyhounds actions and in his opinion would of won by a much greater distance if it had not behaved in that fashion. Stewards noted his response.

UNCLE RUSTY’S PHOTOS MAIDEN HEAT 2 460M

First out was JADE PRINCESS, last away was TROMOND KAHN. At the 1^st corner NOTRE CAMBLA ran onto the back of CAMBLA DARLING and lost momentum as a result. NOTRE CAMBLA raced wide down the back straight and through the back corner. JADE PRINCESS raced wide down the home straight.

Trainer Mr T. Lowe was questioned over the performance of his greyhound JADE PRINCESS, when running down the straight. Mr Lowe stated that his greyhound had a habit of not running the race out completely when leading but it was also something that was prevalent in its breeding and an issue he hoped it would grow out of. Stewards noted his explanation.

The greyhound TROMOND KAHN underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering a weak core musculature and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

3.	BROTHERS SPORTS CLUB NOVICE 460M First away was SMILES ALL ROUND, last away was BLIZZARD BLITZ. SPRING DOLLY and FAST AND SERIOUS raced tight approaching and through the 1^st corner. Down the back straight WHIRLY BLADE ran onto the back of SMILES ALL ROUND, causing it to slow and drop back through the field. At the back corner BLIZZARD BLITZ was tightened for room and checked as it tried to go inside FAST AND SERIOUS. Both greyhounds lost significant ground as a result. FAST AND SERIOUS raced wide at the home corner and down the home straight. The greyhound SMILES ALL ROUND underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

4.	FOOTE’S FAMILY CHEMIST CHILDERS 5^th GRADE 460M An even start. ANOTHER NIKTAN, POKER CARD and KILCARNEY MIST raced tight after the jump. ROMELDA raced wide down the back straight. DOOLEYS FIT checked off the back of NEW ABODE approaching the back corner. ANOTHER NIKTAN raced wide at the home corner and down the home straight.

CARTER FAMILY 5^th GRADE 460M

PURELEE CRUISY was last away. LITTLE MAKRIL and PURELEE CRUISY raced tight approaching the 1^st corner. LITTLE MAKRIL checked off the back of NIGHT TIMELOVER just after the 1^st corner. SPRING TRIXIE was blocked and then checked off the back of NIGHT TIMELOVER, racing down the back straight. SPRING TRIXIE went very wide at the home corner.

BUNDABERG STOCK FEEDS 5^th GRADE 460M

First away was LORIAN EXPRESS, last out was GOODBOY SEAMUS. GOODBOY SEAMUS and DELICATE HARRY checked at the first corner, with GOODBOY SEAMUS losing significant ground. DELICATE HARRY checked off the back of KIALLA at the start of the back straight and dropped out thereafter. Approaching the back corner, SWEET SASSAFRAS checked off the back of PARIS LIGHTS and lost momentum. MEGSIE MAC and GOODBOY SEAMUS went wide at the home corner. GOODBOY SEAMUS continued wide down the home straight.

The greyhound DELICATE HARRY underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to not have sustained any apparent injuries.

7.	WIN TV 4/5^th GRADE 460M First away was TWO BEERS, last away was GO HOADY. The majority of the field raced tight going past the catching pen. At the beginning of the back straight MALLOURY QUEEN was blocked for a run and checked off the back of LADY GLEN, who then come back onto EIGHT PINTS with that greyhound going completely over the back of it and falling, causing both greyhounds to lose any winning chance as a result. LADY GLEN was blocked for a run approaching the back corner. The greyhound EIGHT PINTS underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising and lacerations and was stood down for a period of 10 days

8.	NEWS MAIL 4/5^th GRADE 550M First away was KISSY FIESTA, last away was GOLDEN PLANET. GOLDEN PLANET went wide at the 1^st corner. SUMMERS PRANCER and GOLDEN PLANET raced tight down the back straight. GOLDEN PLANET went wide through the home corner.
