RACE REPORTS

1.

UNCLE RUSTY’S PHOTOS MAIDEN 460M SUDOKU GIRAFFE stumbled just after the start. DODGY CREDIT and NOT MY TIME raced tight approaching the 1^st corner. VELOCITY ROSE raced wide down the back straight. MOHICAN LAD raced wide at the home corner and also down the home straight. The greyhound VELOCITY WELKIN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The trainer Mr W Clifford was questioned about the performance of VELOCITY WELKIN. Mr Clifford responded that his greyhound had to begin well usually to have a competitive chance and the early interference didn’t help its chances. Mr Clifford also stated that he intended to race the greyhound again at Bundaberg and gauge its performance after that.

TERRY SIGNS MAIDEN FINAL 460M NOTRE CAMBLA was clearly last away by a margin. SHAYLOR FLASH, GUDERA KITTYHAWK and NEDGO BALE all raced tight at the 1^st corner. MIGHTY MURRAY raced wide past the catching pen and for the remainder of the race. Approaching the back corner WERINA FLASH stumbled momentarily, then proceeded to drop back through the field. The greyhound WERINA FLASH underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injury was found.

3.	READING CINEMAS NOVICE 460M CAMBLA DARLING and PAIR OF ACES raced tight at the 1^st corner, then checked, then come together onto MY MOJO causing all three greyhounds to lose ground and momentum. LUKES WAY raced wide down the back straight. Just after the back corner PRINCESS SCAR stumbled and lost significant ground. The greyhound PRINCESS SCAR underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

4.	BUNDY BOWL AND LEISURE NOVICE 460M First away was ROCKETS ANGEL, last out was BLIZZARD BLITZ. At the 1^st corner MINUS TWO and WILBY AWESOME raced tight. Approaching the back straight KAZ BEAR was checked, then WILBY AWESOME checked off the back of it. Approaching the home corner CIA KAHN went wide accompanied by KAZ BEAR with both greyhounds bumping on occasion and going out very wide on the track approaching the home corner. Stewards questioned the running of the greyhound KAZ BEAR with trainer Jeff Kuhl. As a result that greyhound was given a unsatisfactory performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards trial.

FOOTE’S FAMILY CHEMIST CHILDERS 5^th GRADE 460M First away was TWO BEERS, last away HASSIES HASSLE. Racing past the catching pen LITTLE ELL BEE checked off the back of ARE JAY DUREE. At the beginning of the back straight BRIAN BENZ ran onto and over the back of HASSIES HASSLE, causing both greyhounds to stumble and BRIAN BENZ to fall. LITTLE ELL BEE went very wide approaching the home corner and also down the home straight. The greyhound BRIAN BENZ underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have severe bruising to the off fore and hind legs and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

6.	EAT END HOTEL 5^th GRADE 460M First away was SHEZZA BUTTSY. MYSTIC KAHN was last out, lost its footing and fell shortly after the jump. GUN DANCER raced wide down the home straight. The greyhound MYSTIC KAHN underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

7.	THE CHOP SHOP BEST 8 460M First away was ACKA DACKA, SPOT THE DOT was noticeably slow away. LOOKING AMAZING was tightened for racing room on the inside, at the first corner. VELOCITY CHRIS raced wide down the back straight. SUMMAHS KNIGHT, VELOCITY CHRIS and BILLS FLASH raced tight at the home corner.

8.	LINDSAY MCCARTHY’S USED CARS 3/4^th GRADE 460M ERASION, PANAMA EYES and KYOTO KAHN come together at the first corner and checked, with CABELLO MUCHO also getting checked just afterwards. GO THE SPOILS raced wide down the home straight. The greyhound CABELLO MUCHO underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

9.	THE GRAND HOTEL BARBARA 5^th GRADE 460M After the jump PEREZ and EXPOSE THE FREAK raced tight. PEREZ raced wide down the back straight. BLACK AS TAR and PEREZ raced wide down the home straight.

10.	BUNDABERG STOCK FEEDS 5^th GRADE 460M At the first corner BET YOU WILL was blocked for a run and THURRUNGO and NOVA DE KAHN raced tight. KISSY FIESTA checked off the back of MAGIC MILLAH racing past the catching pen. URANA LAURIE raced wide down the back straight. KOUKLA MOO raced wide at the home corner and down the home straight. The greyhound KISSY FIESTA underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing in the right hind leg and was stood down for a period of 21 days.
