Race 1 – PRIME REAL ESTATE MAIDEN – 460M
OUR CAMBLA BOY was best
away, MY KID CAMBLA and NAPPER RUN RUN began awkwardly. Into the first turn
DIZZY CAMBLA, NAPPER RUN RUN and CAMBLA BANJO collide and lose ground. Exiting
the first turn BOSS BOSS shifted out and checked off heels of OUR CAMBLA BOY.
Along the back straight SCOTT NO CLUE advanced onto the heels of OUR KID CAMBLA
and was tightened for racing room resulting in the ground to shift wide. NAPPER
RUN RUN raced wide down the home straight.
Race 2 – RAY EDWARD REAL ESTATE NOVICE – 460M
NAUGHTY CAMBLA was best
to begin. Rounding the first turn SOX THE FOX, NAUGHTY CAMBLA and FASHION FLIRT
checked and lost ground. Through the second turn FASHION FLIRT and CAMBLA
CRUISER were tight for racing room and were forced wide.
The
greyhound PAWTICIPATION underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
injuries were found.

Race 3 – C.L.M ACCOUNTANTS HERVEY BAY MA5 – 460M
DODGEY CREDIT was best
to begin. Through the first turn FRUIT ZAFONIC, DODGEY CREDIT and WISSUTA RULES
checked.
Race 4 – UNCLE RUSTY’S PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE (1)
– 460M
GALLON OF CAMBLA was
best to begin with ZAZU’S HEADACHE marginally slow. Through the first turn
MADAM CAMBLA and SHE’S INYA FACE checked. Down the back straight ZAZU’S
HEADACHE was tightened for racing room and checked losing ground and hampering
NICKOLUCKY. MADAM CAMBLA raced wide down the home straight.
Race 5 – REALWAY PROPERTY CONSULTANTS 5TH GRADE
(2) – 460M
FLAMENCO
GIRL was best to begin. GLEN CAMBLA began awkwardly and was marginally slow.
LAGOON SCARLETT raced wide down the home straight.
Race 6 – TERRY’S SIGNS MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 460M
KISS THE GROOM was best
away. Entering the second turn KISS THE GROOM check off the heels of STAR OF
CAMBLA and lost ground.
Race 7 – TREVOR HALTER BEST 8 – 460M
NEDGO PRINCESS was best
away with LORDE CERINE slow to begin. Entering the first turn the field tightened
and all greyhounds excluding NEDGO PRINCESS and ROPE A DOPE were checked to
varying degrees, as a result ACTUALIZE lost considerable ground and took no
further competitive part in the race.
The
greyhound ACTUALIZE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found
to have a tear to the offside hind gracilis muscle and was stood down for a
period of 21 days.
A
post race urine sample was requested by stewards of the winner CAMBLA LALA
however the swabbing official reported that after several attempts was unable
to produce a sample of the greyhound’s urine.
General:
Stewards conducted an
enquiry with trainers Mr R. Brook and Mr G. Richards regarding a verbal
altercation in the kennelling area prior to the running of race 3. Stewards
considered all available evidence and found Mr. G Richards guilty of the
offence GAR86 (q) and issued a fine of $200.
Stewards advised Mr R.
Brook that in future he is to report any matters he finds concerning to the
stewards immediately.
