Race Reports

 

Race 1 – GREAT NORTHERN NOVICE 460M

Richmer assault jumped first, and last out was Kira rocks. Entering the first turn sweet cambla checked the back of drives me crazy, and then sweet cambla checked off lightning flash. Exiting the home turn sweet cambla moved wide.

 

Race 2 – PRIME REAL ESTATE MA5 460M

Best away windy girl and wilby awesome missed the jump. Along the back straight whinging wilko and Niko lucky were running on the high side of the track.

 

Race 3 – RAY EDWARD REAL ESTATE 5TH GRADE 460M

Even start, after the jump lagoon scarlet, star of cambla & cicada were tight. Then entering the second turn Apollos warrior moved wide.

 

Race 4 – C.L.M. ACCOUNTANTS HERVEY BAY 5TH GRADE 460M

Best away was Destini peso and spring ruby, entering the first turn the field tightened. Through the first turn belli blue checked the back of fire fly roger causing him to lose footing and almost fall. Exiting the second turn Destini peso lost its front footing and stumbled. Following the race fire fly rodger & Destini peso were vetted but no injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – UNCLE RUSTY’S PHOTOS 5TH GRADE 460M

Banjo duel jumped well, fire fly smurf last away, entering the first turn the entire field tightened. Through the first turn quintus Maximus checked with stilton Ali and both dogs lost ground. Exiting the home turn stilton Ali and cambla cruiser moved wide, near the finish line banjo duel visibly slowed and crazy cambla took the lead. After the race banjo duel was inspected by the vet and found to have suffered a LF & RF hamstring strain and stood down for 10 days.

 

Stewards also spoke with the trainer of Banjo Duel and imposed an unsatisfactory performance penalty Rule 71(2) and must supply a veterinarian certificate declaring greyhound fit to race before can be nominated for any further events.

 

Stewards also reviewed the video regarding the running of the greyhound crazy cambla and deemed no action was required.

 

Race 6 – REALWAY PROPERTY CONSULTANTS MIXED 4/5TH GRADE 460M

Fire fly Jake was slow to begin, entering the first turn the field was tight, and through the turn gallon of cambla, brandy cambla & dodgy credit checked.

 

Race 7 – BARGARA BAKERY & CAFÉ 5TH GRADE 550M

Even start, after the jump diamond robyne tried to find a clear path and baulked moved wide and lost ground. Through the first turn diamond robyne and Tyler lee were wide.

 

Race 8 – TERRY’S SIGNS MIXED 2/3RD GRADE 460M

Last out was Katherine’s money. Along the finish straight Mr. Apollo and glen cambla moved wide and ran mid track.
