Other Comments / Explanations: “Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races”
Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN 460m The all clear to race 1 was delayed for approximately 20 minutes so stewards could determine the outcome of 4th place.
1 Tune – Checked with another runner on multiple occasions entering the first turn. 2 Card Queens - Checked with another runner on multiple occasions entering the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the off wrist and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. 3 She's Available – Marginally slow to begin. Hampered approaching the turn out of the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent abnormalities. 4 Silver Spike – Significantly checked entering the first turn and commenced to yield ground immediately afterwards, taking no further part in the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a neck strain and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. 7 Lana Herrera – Best to begin. Raced extremely wide through the turn into the front straight and continued wide for the remainder of the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a shoulder strain and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. Subsequently was charged under rule GAR71, unsatisfactory performance. 8 Cambla Samba Kid – Raced wide through the turn into the front straight.
Race 2 – TERRY SIGNS NOVICE 460m 1 Boydtown Bandit – Checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn. 2 Cambla Gold - Checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn. Hampered leaving the first turn. 4 Lucky Nova – Checked leaving the first turn. Hampered approaching the turn out of the back straight. 6 Hostile Intent – Raced very wide through the turn into the home straight. 8 Swift Eyes – Checked leaving the first turn.
Race 3 – EAST END HOTEL MIXED 2/3 460m 1 Ava Surprise – Raced very wide through the turn into the front straight. 2 Light The Barbie – Checked off heels leaving the turn out of the back straight. Checked approaching the finish. 4 Richmer Attack – Checked on multiple occasions entering the first turn. Checked off heels leaving the first turn. 5 Deejay Frankie – Tightened for racing room and checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn. Hampered leaving the first turn. Improved onto the rear of another runner in the back straight. 7 Tinkie's My Mum – Checked on a number of occasions at the first turn. Inconvenienced by another runner that was trailing, in the back straight. Checked approaching the turn out of the back straight. 8 Kiewa Rebel – Checked approaching the finish.
Race 4 – QLD BRED 4/5 GRADE FINAL MIXED 4/5 550m 1 Belli Ultra – Checked shortly after the start. Checked entering the first turn. 2 Swift Gear – Checked shortly after the start. Stumbled and lost ground through the first turn. 8 Reveal – Severely checked entering the first turn.
Race 5 – CRAFT RENTAL & HARDWARE GRADE 5 (1) 460m 1 Blue Ain't Black – Checked approaching the turn out of the back straight. 4 Fizz Out – Checked immediately after the start. Raced tight and checked with another runner on a number of occasions entering the first turn. Checked off heels leaving the first turn. 5 Medicine Woman - Checked immediately after the start. Raced tight and checked with other runners on a number of occasions entering the first turn. Checked leaving the first turn. Hampered then checked approaching the turn out of the back straight. 6 Zipping Martha - Raced tight and checked with other runners on a number of occasions, entering the first turn. 7 Nanny's Charlie - Raced tight and checked with other runners on a number of occasions, entering the first turn. Hampered entering the turn out of the back straight.
Race 6 – ENDEAVOUR FOUNDATION GRADE 5 (2) 460m 1 Pink Sands – Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions approaching the first turn.
