Other Comments / Explanations: “Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races”
Race 1 - TERRY SIGNS MAIDEN 460m 2 Cambla Samba Kid – Best to begin. 4 She's Available – Checked approaching the first turn. 6 Trouble Talk – Shifted outwards and severely checked off heels, leaving the first turn.
Race 2 – CRAFT RENTAL & HARDWARE NOVICE 460m 2 We Love Roxy – Impeded then shifted outwards and was significantly inconvenienced by another runner that was trailing, entering the back straight. 3 Our Cambla Boy – Bumped with another runner entering the first turn. 4 Jiggle No Wiggle – Checked approaching the first turn. 6 Cambla Gold – Shifted inwards and collided into another runner approaching the first turn. 7 Louisiana Flyer – Bumped with another runner entering the first turn. Checked off the heels of a runner that shifted out entering the back straight and lost ground. Checked approaching the turn out of the back straight and lost momentum. 8 Medicine Woman – Checked approaching the turn out of the back straight.
Race 3 – BARGARA BAKERY CAFÉ GRADE 5 (1) 460m 1 No Mediocre – Checked off heels approaching the turn out of the back straight and lost considerable ground. 2 Reveal – Checked off heels then collided into another runner losing significant ground, leaving the first turn. 5 Hostile Intent – Checked entering the first turn. 6 Fancy Eyes – Checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn. 7 Ollie's Lad – Checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn. 8 Roulette – Shifted inwards and was checked on multiple occasions entering the first turn. Checked and lost significant ground leaving the first turn. Checked and lost considerable ground entering the back straight.
Race 4 – CHIP TYRE RECYCLERS GRADE 5 (2) 460m 1 Gruff Rose – Hampered leaving the first turn. Raced very wide through the turn into the front straight. 2 Fizz Out – Hampered then shifted outwards and was checked leaving the first turn. Stewards spoke to the trainer’s representative Mr Stephen Bland in relation to the greyhounds improved performance and enhanced best time over the track and distance. Mr Bland was of the opinion that a change in the routine of the training schedule and extra muscle work performed on the greyhound, throughout the week, had contributed to a better performance today. 3 Larkin Po – Marginally slow to begin. 4 Swift Gear – Hampered leaving the first turn. Hampered approaching the turn into the front straight. 6 Gotcha Scootin' – Commenced to lose ground after leading, approaching the turn out of the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the off wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days. 7 Andover – Checked and lost ground leaving the first turn. Hampered approaching the turn into the front straight. 8 Roman Siren – Checked off heels and lost ground entering the first turn.
Race 5 – ENDEAVOUR FOUNDATION MIXED 3/4 460m 1 Dancing Ebby – Tightened for room then checked losing significant ground, entering the first turn. Hampered then checked leaving the turn out of the back straight. 3 Road Scholar – Hampered leaving the first turn. Checked off heels and lost considerable ground approaching the turn out of the back straight. 4 Courtois – Significantly inconvenienced by another runner entering the first turn. 6 Fashion Flirt – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering PEDS (Post exercise distress syndrome) and will need to perform a satisfactory stewards trial and be examined by a veterinarian to determine no further reoccurrence of the syndrome, under GAR74 1(a) 7 Sheza Dryva – Significantly inconvenienced by another runner entering the first turn and lost considerable ground. 8 Pact – Significantly inconvenienced by another runner entering the first turn. 9 Enough Knowledge – Tightened for room, checked off heels and was severely checked entering the first turn.
Race 6 – TAB BUNDABERG CUP (L) HEAT 1 OPEN 550m 6 Ava Surprise – Raced wide through the turn into the front straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr John Kuhn in relation to the performance of his greyhound. Mr Kuhn stated that he was quite disappointed in the run of his greyhound and expected a better performance. Mr Kuhn further stated that he would explore other options in regards to muscle issues. 7 Deep Emotion – Best to begin. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a near hind abraded pad and was stood down from racing for a period of 21 days. 8 Rippin' Bartel – Marginally slow to begin
Race 7 – TAB BUNDABERG CUP (L) HEAT 2 OPEN 550m The all clear for Race 7 was delayed by approximately 8 minutes so stewards could review the footage of the race in regards to circumstances of the lure position at the first turn.
1 Fernando Tears – Best to begin 2 King Taka – Contacted from behind by another runner entering the first turn and lost considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a neck and shoulder strain and was stood down for a period of 10 days. 3 Tullabung Missy – Hampered in the front straight on the first occasion. Deviated outwards towards another runner and made muzzle contact with that runner, leaving the turn out of the back straight. Subsequently was charged under GAR69 Marring (2nd offence) and was stood down from racing for a period of 3 months and will need to perform a satisfactory stewards trial before resuming racing. 4 Dolcetto Hayze – Contacted the heels of another runner entering the first turn and lost considerable ground as a result. 6 Macdowell – Hampered over the concluding stages of the race. 8 Belli Ultra – Inconvenienced by another runner and lost significant ground leaving the turn out of the back straight.
Race 8 – TAB BUNDABERG CUP (L) HEAT 3 OPEN 550m 1 Really Royal – Tightened for room approaching the turn out of the back straight. 2 Miss Emmy – Checked shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner entering the first turn. 3 Swift Pash – Checked shortly after the start. Hampered approaching the first turn. 6 Elegant Eleanor – Shortened stride immediately after the start and failed to finish the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a back muscle injury and was stood down from racing for a period of 42 days and will need to produce a veterinary certificate before resuming racing. 7 Purdi Villa – Best to begin. 8 Takura Tornado - Bumped with another runner entering the first turn.
Race 9 – UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS MA5 460m 1 Branwell Lee – Impeded then checked off heels leaving the turn out of the back straight. Inconvenienced by another runner entering the turn into the front straight. 2 Diesel Magic – Marginally slow to begin. Commenced to yield ground leaving the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a sub lumbar muscle strain and was stood from racing down for a period of 10 days. 4 Zambora Pride – Checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn. Bumped with another runner in the front straight. 5 Saint Gallon – Best to begin. Shifted out off heels entering the front straight. Bumped with another runner in the front straight. 6 Dodgy Ethan – Checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn. Checked leaving the first turn. 7 Cambla Cruiser – Impeded then shifted out and collided into another runner entering the turn into the front straight. |
