General: The all clear for Race 4 was delayed for approximately 3 minutes so stewards could review the footage in relation to the location of the lure in the back straight.

Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN (1) 460m

1 Inga Alfie – Raced tight and bumped with another runner on a number of occasions entering the back straight and lost ground.

 

2 Tune – Hampered entering the first turn. Hampered leaving the first turn.

 

3 Roy Revere – Checked entering the first turn. Checked off heels, shifted outwards and checked into another runner entering the back straight and lost ground. Hampered then shifted outwards through the turn into the front straight.

 

4 Expat Mohawk – Checked and lost ground approaching the first turn.

 

6 Slick Mac – Checked entering the back straight and lost ground.

 

8 Mini Chevy – Shifted inwards sharply immediately after the start and collided into another runner. Raced tight and bumped with another runner on a number of occasions entering the back straight and lost ground.

 

Race 2 - CHIP TYRE RECYCLERS MAIDEN (2) 460m

1 For The Judge – Checked entering the first turn.  

 

2 Nabro – Marginally slow to begin. Hampered in the back straight. Raced tight with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight, losing momentum. Hampered then checked off heels entering the turn into the front straight.

 

3 Blood Red Moon – Checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn and lost considerable ground. Raced tight with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight, losing momentum.

 

4 Willy Eve – Checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn and lost considerable ground. Checked leaving the first turn and lost further ground. Checked into another runner entering the turn out of the back straight, before deviating its attention from the lure and shifting outwards towards that runner, bumping on occasion and losing substantial ground. Subsequently was charged under GAR69A (Failure to pursue 2nd offence) and was stood down from racing for a period of 3 months and will need to perform a satisfactory stewards trial before resuming racing.

 

6 Urana Raspberry – Best to begin.

 

8 Midnight Million – Severely inconvenienced by another runner through the turn out of the back straight and lost substantial ground.

 

Race 3 - TERRY SIGNS NOVICE 460m

1 Go Taylah – Shifted inwards sharply immediately after the start.

 

2 Just Too Fast – Tightened for room, checked and lost ground entering the turn into the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.

 

3 Cambla Doll – Marginally slow to begin. Checked entering the front straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.

 

4 Expat Monza – Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions through the first turn.

 

5 Cambla Gold – Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions through the first turn.

 

 

Race 4 - EAST END HOTEL GRADE 5 (1) 550m

2 Hirstglen – Bumped with another runner immediately after the start. Began to slow dramatically when approaching the first turn and took no further part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near hip support and was stood down from racing for a period of 14 days. Subsequently was charged under GAR69B (Failure to pursue due to injury 1st offence) and was stood down for the period of its injury. The greyhound will need to perform a satisfactory stewards trial before resuming racing.

 

7 Nerve Settler – Hampered approaching the turn out of the back straight.  

 

 

Race 5 - BARGARA BAKERY CAFE GRADE 5 (2) 550m

2 Dancing Ebby – Checked off heels in the front straight on the first occasion.

 

3 Rum An' Ruby's – Bumped on a number of occasions shortly after the start. Hampered leaving the first turn.

 

4 Takura Tornado – Checked approaching the first turn and lost ground.

 

6 Engage – Best to begin.

 

Race 6 - ENDEAVOUR FOUNDATION 5PW 460m

1 Blazing Explorer – Shifted outwards and deviated its attention towards the greyhound racing to its outside and collided into that runner on a number of occasions when entering the turn into the front straight, losing significant ground as a result. Stewards reviewed the footage of the incident and could not be certain that muzzle contact had occurred with the other runner. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a lumbar strain injury and was stood down from racing for a period of 14 days. Subsequently was charged under rule 69B (Failure to pursue due to injury 1st offence) and was stood down for the period of the injury. The greyhound will also need to perform a satisfactory stewards trial before resuming racing.

 

2 Hostile Intent – Checked on a number of occasions approaching the first turn and lost ground. Checked and lost further ground leaving the first turn. Checked entering the back straight. Raced very wide through the turn into the front straight

 

3 Ragin' Comet  - Slow to begin. Checked off heels in the back straight and began to yield ground shortly afterwards. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a near long head triceps strain and was stood down from racing for a period of 21 days.

 

4 Courtois – Checked entering the first turn. Inconvenienced by another runner leaving the first turn and lost momentum.  

 

5 Inga Lewis – Collided into another runner approaching the first turn. Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight.

 

6 Hand Of Gold – Severely inconvenienced by another runner through the turn into the front straight and lost significant ground. Hampered over the concluding stages of the event.

 

8 Fast Chloe – Checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn and lost ground. Contacted from behind in the back straight and lost further ground. Hampered entering the front straight.

 

Race 7 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 460m

1 Savoir – Marginally slow to begin.  

 

2 Kooringa Kendal – Checked off heels and lost ground entering the turn out of the back straight.

 

4 Severine – Checked leaving the first turn and lost ground.

 

7 Sky Breanna – Checked entering the first turn and lost ground.

 

8 Magnolia Wind – Checked and shifted wide through the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 8 - CRAFT RENTAL MIXED 4/5 460m

2 Branwell Lee – Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions entering the first turn. Checked off heels on a number of occasions entering the back straight and lost significant ground.

 

3 Jiggle No Wiggle – Tightened for room, checked and lost ground entering the first turn. Hampered approaching the turn out of the back straight.

 

5 No Mediocre – Checked and lost considerable ground leaving the first turn.

 

6 Burrum Boy – Checked and lost ground entering the first turn.

 

7 Glen Cambla – Tightened for room, checked and lost considerable ground entering the first turn.

 

8 Instafamous – Inconvenienced by another runner entering the first turn and lost ground. Contacted from behind leaving the first turn and lost further ground.

 

Race 9 - UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS MIXED 2/3 460m

2 Pact – Checked on a number of occasions approaching the first turn.

 

4 Kiewa Rebel – Checked on a number of occasions approaching the first turn.

 

5 Macdowell – Bumped on a number of occasions approaching the first turn. Checked leaving the first turn.

 

7 Savuro – Best to begin.

4 Counter Fire – Checked off heels in the back straight and lost ground.
