General:

 

Trainer Kevin Pershouse entered a plea of guilty and was fined the sum

of $100.00 in respect of a charge issued pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule

101(3)(b) upon the greyhound Spring Dani weighing in at 29.5kg, being a

variation of 1.1kg from the weight recorded in the greyhound’s most recent

event, with the greyhound subsequently being scratched from Race 10 and stood

down from racing for ten (10) days pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 101(3)(a).

 

Trainer Travis Elson entered a plea of guilty and was fined the sum

of $100.00 in respect of a charge issued pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule

99 for failing to ensure that a registered person was present at the catching pen area prior to the

commencement of Race 5 for the purpose of catching the greyhound Hope’s Golden when that greyhound was engaged to compete in that Event.

 

 

 

Race 1 - GREG ARMSTRONG SERVICES NOVICE 460m

 

1 Just Another Mac – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside hind foot abrasion and no stand down issued.

 

2 Starlight Nelly – Slow to begin.

 

3 Keep Tracking – Slow to begin. Checked shortly after the start. Checked entering in the back straight.

 

4 Canent Percy – Slow to begin. Checked shortly after the start. Checked entering the first turn.

 

6 Oceania Blue – Checked entering the first turn. A veterinary examination revealed

 

8 Thriller Strike – Checked on the heels entering the first turn. Checked exiting the turn onto the back straight. A veterinary examination revealed muscle strains and stood down for 10 days

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MA5 460m

 

1 Bellissimo Blue – Slow to begin.

 

2 Benissimo – Checked entering the first turn. Checked off the heels around the first turn and lost ground a veterinary examination revealed a strained hip muscle and stood down for 10 days.

 

3 Sassy Elle – Checked entering the first turn.

 

5 Louisiana Flyer – Checked nearing the second turn.

 

7 Ragin' Comet – Slow to begin.

 

8 Willem Powerfish – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight.

 

 

 

 

Race 3 - MUNN'S PLUMBING MIXED 4/5 460m

 

1 Desley's Girl – Shifted wider and changed stride losing ground nearing the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a wrist sprain and stood down for 10 days

 

2 Getaway Gherkin – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a foot abrasion and no stand down issued.

 

4 Cambla Doll – Checked entering the first turn.

 

5 Bullbar Bruce -– Slow to begin. Checked shortly after the start. Checked entering the first turn.

 

7 Shanti – Slow to begin. Checked shortly after the start.

 

8 Nomad Road – Checked entering the first turn.

 

Race 4 - GLOBAL TURF GRADE 5 (1) 460m

 

1 Big Jim Buzz – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside toe injury and stood down for 42 days and perform a veterinary clearance trial prior to returning to racing.

 

5 Rough Sea – Hampered by another runner in the front straight.

 

6 Yuri Magic – Slow to begin. Checked immediately after the start.

 

7 Jungle Duke – Slow to begin. Checked immediately after the start. In the front straight shifted its attention from the lure inwards marring the runner on its inside. Stewards spoke to trainer Robert Jacobsen regarding the greyhounds racing manners at that stage of the event and hearing the stewards observations and reviewing the video replay. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 marring. Mr Jacobsen pleaded guilty to the breach, Jungle Duke was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bundaberg and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127, before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

9 Chase Me Candy – Slow to begin.

 

Race 5 - BUNDABERG CUP (G3) HEAT 1OPEN 531m

 

1 Key Status – Slow to begin.

 

3 Lost Signal – Slow to begin.

 

8 Bro's Girl – Checked around the first turn.

 

Race 6 - BUNDABERG CUP (G3) HEAT 2 OPEN 531m

 

1 He's So Cool – Tightened for racing room and bumped around the first turn.

 

2 Say Some Words – Tightened for racing room and bumped around the first turn.

 

8 Zambora Chief – Checked and shifted wider entering the first turn.

 

Race 7 - BUNDABERG CUP (G3) HEAT 3 OPEN 531m

 

2 De Ferran – Slow to begin. Checked in the front straight on the first occasion. Raced wider in the front straight.

 

3 Leo Gibbs – Checked in the front straight on the first occasion.

 

6 Suzie Knows – Slow to begin. Shifted wider around the first turn and shortened stride. A veterinary examination revealed an offside muscle injury and stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 8 - BUNDABERG CUP (G3) HEAT 4 OPEN 531m

 

6 Mount Cambla – Checked and knocked off balance shortly after the start.

 

7 Rich Link – Checked immediately after the start. Checked and forced wider nearing the first turn.

 

8 Daysea's Rowdy – Checked immediately after the start.

 

Race 9 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (2) 460m

 

1 Dodgy Mick – Slow to begin. Checked entering the first turn.

 

2 Step Up – Slow to begin and checked shortly after the start. In the front straight deviated its attention towards the runner on the inside, but stewards could not ascertain whether head or muzzle contact was made. The greyhound underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have offside bruising and a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer representative Mr Dennis Isles regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the front straight, and Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Isles pleaded Guilty to the breach and was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

3 Go Katie Go – Shifted across towards the running rail and checked shortly after the start.

 

Race 10 – TAB GRADE 5 (3) 460m

 

2 Apache Bear – Checked and disadvantaged entering the first turn.

 

4 Sweet Enough - Tightened for racing room and checked other runners to varying degrees entering the first turn. Checked off the heels of another runner around the first turn.

 

5 Up The Amps – Bumped shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room and checked other runners to varying degrees entering the first turn.
