· Following the injury in race two stewards & the on-track veterinarian walked the track and following advice from the veterinarian and discussion amongst the stewards deemed the track as unsuitable and abandoned the remainder of the meeting.

Race 1 - RACE REVOLUTION MAIDEN 460m |

7. Obliging Cyndie – dragged down from behind, fell heavily took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have offside and nearside front leg fractures the greyhound was euthanised on humane grounds. This matter will now be referred to the greyhound injury review panel. |

5. Granny’s Girl – Tightened for racing room and became unbalanced, faulted in its actions and gave ground on the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have front left metacarpal & carpal fractures. The greyhound was euthanised on humane grounds. This matter will now be referred to the greyhound injury review panel. |

7.Miss Slimm - Late scratching at 1:00pm Sunday 24-09-2023 when Allan Thrower reported the greyhound to have a suspected muscle injury. under GAR 76(2). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 76(5) before any future nomination will be accepted. |
