General:

 

·       Stewards opened an investigation into the discovery of an item discovered near a vehicle & trailer in the carpark  following kennelling.  The inquiry has been adjourned.

Race 1 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 460m

 

2. Honey Whiskey - Late scratching at 7:41am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to mechanical breakdown, with stewards permission. Stewards will require a proof of breakdown TAB was notified @ 7:55am

 

6. Yogi’s Baby – Checked shortly after the start. Checked dragged down from behind and gave ground entering the first turn. slowed & stopped, before running back towards the field on the second turn. Stewards ordered the race to finish on the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside and nearside hip muscle injuries, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

8.Electric Cambla – Shortened stride momentarily before regaining speed and position exiting the turn onto the back straight. Shortened stride momentarily before regaining speed and position again, on the second turn. Slightly deviated attention from the lure momentarily approaching the exit of the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Louise Cameron regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury with a 5 day stand down at Bundaberg and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 2 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE 460m

 

2. Shian Coco -  Late scratching at 7:41am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to mechanical breakdown, with stewards permission. Stewards will require a proof of breakdown TAB was notified @ 7:55am

 

 

5. Edric Vosper – Deviated attention from the lure towards runner on the inside and made heavy muzzle contact on multiple occasions in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to Ms Chloe Moller, the Handler of Edric Vosper regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 marring. Ms  Moller pleaded guilty to the breach, the greyhound was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bundaberg and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127, before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

7. Yogi’s Menace – Checked faulted in its actions and gave ground shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

8. Burrum Assassin – Marred by a runner on its outside in the home straight.

 

Race 3 - GLOBAL TURF MIXED 3/4 315m

 

8.Perfect Mate – Checked entering the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist and thigh muscle injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

Race 4 - CRAFT RENTALS MIXED 3/4 460m

 

2.Ethan’s Thunder – Shifted wider and became unbalanced and gave ground entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 5 - UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS GRADE 5 (1) 460m

 

7. Burrum Josie – A pre-race urine sample was obtained.

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 6 - RACE REVOLUTION GRADE 5 (2) 460m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 7 - BUNDABERG YOUNG GUNS HEAT 1 OPEN 460m

 

8.Boo Boo Baby – Dragged down from behind and gave ground on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 8 - BUNDABERG YOUNG GUNS HEAT 2 OPEN 460m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

6. Slick Ram - Late scratching at 11:10 am pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have a nearside hind back muscle injury during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and will need to perform a veterinary clearance trial.  

 

 

Race 9 - ISFAB GRADE 5 531m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 10 - SHERRIFF ELECTRICAL GRADE 5 (1) 315m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

8. Wild Oates -  A pre-race urine sample was obtained.

 

Race 11 - WALKER ST WHOLESALE BAKERY GRADE 5 (2) 315m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

4. Sleepy Joe – A post-race urine sample was collected.

 

Race 12 - CARVE INDUSTRIES MA5 315m

 

3. Orson Charli – Checked and gave ground shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside and nearside hip muscle injuries, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

4. Unencumbered - A pre-race urine sample was collected.

 

5. Dodgy Mick - A post-race urine sample was collected.
